Treat Yourself with CoolSculpting this Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, and so too will be the New Year! Take your first steps to tackle 2019 with the body you want, through CoolSculpting here at Wentworth Aesthetics.

If you have noticed certains areas of your body seem to retain stubborn body fat no matter what you eat, or how you exercise, then this innovative fat-reducing procedure could be for you!

What is CoolSculpting?

Also known as cryolipolysis, CoolSculpting is a non-invasive alternative to liposuction surgery. Tackling persistent body fat, CoolSculpting targets and freezes fat cells, which, once crystalised, are eliminated as your body processes this treated fat. Common areas afflicted with stubborn fat that often find success with this freezing treatment include under the chin, the upper arms, the abdomen, the back, and the thighs – plus many more. CoolSculpting has FDA clearance which clearly demonstrates its high standards and is supported by several years of clinical trials.

Here at Wentworth Aesthetics, Dr Nishi Dhuna is pleased to be able to include CoolSculpting in our array of effective procedures, for the careful treatment of your physical concerns to achieve clinically-proven results.

Everyone’s requirements and goals are different, so we ensure to tailor your treatment plan to reflect these needs, combining our clinical recommendations with your preferences, as we consider how many treatments you may require to achieve your desired results, in your chosen treatment area(s).

The CoolSculpting Process

As its name suggests, during the CoolSculpting procedure – which often lasts for 60 minutes depending on the area(s) treated – you will experience a gradual numbing sensation with the cold, and may also notice some mild ‘pulling’, as many CoolSculpting applicators utilise a vacuum effect, to draw the body’s fatty tissue to the point of delivery. However, this ‘tugging’ sensation will fade as the area becomes numb.

With no surgery involved, clients who undergo CoolSculpting treatments often find there is little to no downtime – although this, of course, will depend on each individual – and many people find that they are able to continue with their lives as normal. Post-procedure, some clients notice redness, bruising, firmness or sensitivity in the areas targeted, but these should last no longer than a few weeks.

Once the post-procedure effects have subsided, most clients start to see visible results between two and six months after their CoolSculpting treatment, as the body will continue to flush out treated fat cells for up to six months post-treatment.

CoolSculpting is unfortunately not a procedure for everyone, and should be avoided if you suffer with cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria. It is also important to note CoolSculpting, while favourable for treating specific areas with persistent unwanted fat, should not be considered a solution to health concerns where serious weight loss is desired.
