What are Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are a new approach in aesthetic medicine with potential benefits for facial rejuvenation and skin enhancement. A Polynucleotide treatment is an injectable skin booster derived from salmon DNA used to stimulate cellular regeneration, collagen synthesis, and tissue repair.

What do polynucleotides do?

Some of the potential benefits of a polynucleotide treatment include rejuvenation of the skin, collagen stimulation, tissue regeneration, hydration., wrinkle reduction and texture improvement.

Where can Polynucleotides be used on the face?

The treatment can be used all over the face as a general skin booster, working to stimulate your own collagen or we can target problem areas such as fine lines around the eyes.

When can results be seen?

Treatments typically take approximately 3 weeks to start to see improvements to the skin, with full effects becoming more apparent over several months. The skin will gradually improve in texture, firmness and hydration.

How many treatments will I need?

Usually two treatments are required, 4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. A top u every 6-9 months is recommended.

Does it hurt?

At Wentworth Aesthetics we use optional numbing cream before the treatment to make it more comfortable, however most patients feel they do not require numbing at all.

Key Benefits

Stimulation of Collagen and Elastin Production: Polynucleotides promote the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibres in the skin. Collagen provides structural support and elasticity, while elastin allows the skin to stretch and recoil. By stimulating the production of these proteins, polynucleotides may help improve skin firmness, texture, and resilience, leading to a more youthful appearance.

Tissue Regeneration and Repair: Polynucleotides have been studied for their regenerative properties., which may facilitate tissue repair and regeneration. When injected into the skin , they can promote the growth of new blood vessels and enhance migration of fibroblasts and keratinocyes leading to accelerated wound healing and tissue remodeling. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals undergoing cosmetic procedures or seeking to address scars, fine lines, and other signs of aging

Hydration and Moisture Retention: Injectable polynucleotides have hydrating properties that can help improve skin hydration and moisture retention. By attracting water molecules and enhancing the skin’s natural barrier function, they can combat dryness, dehydration, and roughness, leaving the skin feeling smooth, supple, and rejuvenated.

Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: As a result of their collagen-stimulating effects and tissue regeneration properties, injectable polynucleotides may help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles.

Improvement of Skin Texture and Tone: Polynucleotides can contribute to smoother, more radiant skin by promoting cell turnover and supporting the formation of new, healthy tissue. This can help address concerns such as roughness, uneven pigmentation, and dullness, resulting in a more even complexion and improved skin texture. Additionally, their ability to enhance blood circulation can further enhance skin tone and vitality

Reduction of Inflammation and Redness: Polynucleotides possess anti-inflammatory properties that can help calm and soothe irritated or inflamed skin. By modulating the inflammatory response and promoting tissue repair, they may alleviate symptoms such as redness, swelling, and sensitivity, making them suitable for individuals with conditions such as rosacea, acne, or dermatitis.

Long-lasting Results: Injectable polynucleotides are believed to provide long-lasting results, as they stimulate cellular processes and promote tissue regeneration from within. Unlike some skincare treatments that offer only temporary benefits, polynucleotide injections can help maintain their effects over time, supporting ongoing skin rejuvenation and maintenance. This makes them a valuable option for individuals seeking sustained improvement in skin quality and appearance.

Natural and Bio-compatible: Polynucleotides are naturally occurring molecules found in the body, making them bio-compatible and well-tolerated by most individuals. When administered as injections, they pose minimal risk of adverse reactions or allergic responses, making them suitable for a wide range of patients. Additionally, their biodegradable nature means that they are metabolised and eliminated from the body over time, without leaving behind any residue or long-term effects.
